SPRING TIME STYLE PACKAGE

Get your wardrobe Spring/Summer ready with our Spring Time Style package ($260 (incl GST)).

Running for September only!

It’s Friiiiday!

I had two incredibly energising styling sessions this week: One Style Consultation with a mum of two who wants to feel like her powerful, cool, feminine self again, and round 2 of a Wardrobe Cleanse session.

I adore my clients’ diverse personal styles and lifestyles. You could be 60, finally ready to step into your power, coming up for air at 37 after two bubs, or 25 and ready to level up your style game so that you can level up in your career.

It was incredible to see the strides “K” had taken since our first Wardrobe Cleanse session the week prior. Together we cleansed the final items that no longer served her or her style goals and created 37 Spring Summer looks. We chatted through a number of styling tricks that she can use to make her outfits sing, many of which she had already used to get dressed with ease and confidence.

It was particularly special seeing how her confidence had grown in just one week.

No matter your lifestyle, age or circumstance, you deserve to look and feel great. Personal Style has the power to help you!

I am most grateful that I get to be apart of this journey. Sharing my knowledge to empower you with the tools you need to be your best dressed self is a dream come true. x

Style Principle #9: Tiny Tweaks

Tiny tweaks can make the world of difference to an outfit.

What is a “tiny tweak“ you might ask? Little styling tricks which bring a look to life.

Below are some easy tricks to try if your outfit doesn’t feel “quite right”:

  1. Accessorise: we wrote about the Art of Accessorising in our second newsletter (click here if you missed it). This point cannot be stressed enough. Accessorising with earrings, a necklace stack, a pair of sunnies, a cross body bag and/or a belt is often what is needed to elevate an outfit.

  2. Adjust your sleeve length: try pushing up your full length sleeves to your elbows to show some skin. Showing skin can work to balance a look. This can be done to the sleeves of your jackets or long sleeve button-up shirts, tops or blouses.

  1. Cuff your pants leg: Folding your pants legs up and under or cuffing them (out and over) so that the end of the pants leg hits just above your ankle bone will add length and help with proportion (Watch our Reel).

  2. Tuck your shirt, blouse or t-shirt: A half tuck, french tuck or full tuck of your shirt will add interest and shape to your outfit by highlighting your waist. A french tuck accentuates the waist, whilst covering the bottom. A full tuck is great for layering and for more fitted tops as these won’t flounce when tucked.

Ellie Delphine (@slipintostyle) highlights how to perfectly apply these tips in her recent style series.

IN THE KNOW

CONTENT WE’RE LOVING THIS WEEK

#1 WE’RE READING - The List by Yomi Adegoke

Ola and Michael are getting married in a months time, until the release of “The List” leaves things hanging in the balance. The List is a collection of names of men in the media industry who have abused their power. Ola would usually throw all her support behind The List - uncovering these stories is what she’s based her career on - except Michael’s name’s on it.

So far, we are enjoying The List. It’s certainly a page turner because we need to know… is it true? Sometimes all you need is a juicy novel, driven by a modern-day plot. We haven’t read a book that deals with cancel culture as a main theme and we’re excited to see it unfold! Let us know if you give this a read.

Fern Cotton has the most soothing, sexy voice around and we just LOVE her podcast, Happy Place. After a short hiatus, we dipped back in with this interesting episode with Kirsty Gallagher - a moon mentor, soul alignment coach and yoga and meditation teacher. Cotton and Gallagher unpack the importance of rituals (not to be confused with routine), presence and paying attention to the Moon’s cycles. We know it sounds a little woo woo, but give it a chance. It’s a fascinating conversation about tuning into yourself, listening to your intuition and living in alignment.

#3 WE’RE WATCHING - Glow on Netflix

Funny, silly and a little different, Glow is set in 1980s LA, where a bunch of misfits are thrown together to become the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. From the writers of Orange is the New Black, you can giggle your way through Seasons 1 - 3 on Netflix. We know we will be binge watching the rest of Season 1 on Sunday!

We worked with Jess to explore her style, workshop some new outfits and re-organise her wardrobe whilst she was on her pregnancy journey.

At a time when it feels like you have little control over your body, being able control your style is empowering and confidence-boosting.

With baby number 2 on the way and a soon-to-be toddler who had just learnt to crawl, Jess wanted to have a few daily outfits in her repertoire that she could feel comfortable and fabulous in.

We put together 15 looks that she could wear day-to-day and for a few events she had coming up.

You can take control of your style and learn the tools to dress with confidence, express your individuality and shop mindfully at any stage of your life.

There’s no time like the present!
