Cost: $35.00 Tickets are limited and on sale now! | It’s the Weekend, Baaabay!I have stolen that opening line from a South African radio DJ of my childhood. It needs to be shouted gleefully as you commute home from work or raise your Friday afternoon cocktail (or mocktail). This week a Wardrobe Cleanse session brought me back to reality. I didn’t realise how hyper focused I was on day-to-day tasks, that I’d actually lost sight of the bigger picture. I’d forgot my “why”. The past few weeks have been difficult. I’ve felt unmotivated and have been questioning what to do next in the business and whether I am doing the right thing striking it out on my own. Then, I completed an in-person Wardrobe Cleanse session and I saw the true joy I brought to my client’s day when she saw herself in an outfit that depicted the feminine, cool, stylish woman she wanted to be again. It was all I needed to bring me out of my funk. Style is about so much more than clothes. It can bring us back to ourselves and build up our sense of self, just like it did for J. That I get to play a role in helping women see themselves as the confident, stylish women they are, is truly magical. I’m so happy to have my motivation back! Have a stylish weekend! x P.S We have a new newsletter feature! Let me know if you play along :) |
Style Principle #17: Wear Your Clothes
You don’t need a special occasion or specific plans to wear your clothes.
You are reason enough to get dressed up.
Many of us have clothes in our cupboard that we haven’t reached for in months (maybe even years). As you navigate your style journey, it’s important to ask yourself whether you aren’t reaching for these items because they no longer celebrate your identity or suit your lifestyle or whether you’re “saving them for when you have plans”.
This style principle deals with the latter question.
Life is not the big birthday celebrations, planned lunches and dinner dates.
Life happens in our daily routines. The coffee run. The school pick-up and drop off. The morning walk or pilates class followed by a day working from home. Our morning commute and day at the office.
It is these moments that we should be dressing up for, because they are where we spend the majority of our time.
1. Styling a sequin skirt for a coffee run. Talk about not saving your clothes for a special occasion 2. An easy look to recreate for everyday 3. Another effortless 5-minute combination.
How we dress day-to-day is about so much more than clothes. Clothing is an extension of your personality and what you wear has the power to make you feel empowered, confident and joyful.
As much as your clothes deserve to be worn, you deserve to feel energised, inspired and confident everyday.
When we get dressed up for events, we show our respect and care for the host.
The joy of a beautiful outfit is a respect you should show yourself too.
If you are feeling like you are in a new stage of your life and you don’t know how to navigate it, use your clothes as a means to bring yourself back to you or define who you want to become.
You can also use your clothes to dress for the job you want not the job you have. Inject colour in to your corporate looks. Dress smarter, despite a more casual office dress code, if this is what brings you joy.
Putting on an outfit that makes you feel most like you, and celebrates the person you are, is going to set you up for success. It is one way to take 15 minutes to do something for yourself in your day.
1. Dressing a smarter piece down for everyday wear. 2. Chic AND comfortable 3. A great “run around” look.
The clothes we wear dictate how we feel, and allow us to present ourselves to the world on our own terms. Getting dressed is a fundamental aspect of our day, yet most of us don’t know how to dress the way we want to feel.
We work closely with you to curate a wardrobe that suits your needs and preferences and unlocks YOUR ideal style. We help you take the guesswork and hassle out of dressing, and make sure you only buy clothes that you’ll actually wear. View our Personal Styling Packages here.

Hosted by Alice Dempster and Claire Kimball, the Squiz gives you a quick, 10 minute, run down of what’s going on in the news today. Honestly, we just love the chemistry between Dempster and Kimball who always have a giggle with each other, despite delivering some tough headlines. |
#3 WE’RE WATCHING - All the Light We Cannot See on Netflix. All the Light We Cannot See is a Netflix adaption of Anthony Doer’s 2015 Pulitzer Prize winning novel of the same name. Marie-Laure is a blind girl navigating World War II in France. Towards the end of the war, the paths of Marie-Laure and a German soldier, forced into the army as an orphaned boy, collide. Whilst this has received mixed reviews, and we can say with absolute certainty that the book is better (it always is), we devoured this historical series. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did. |
